Window Pane
Window pane, I peer on through
seeking a glimpse of a tale, or two.
Memories, you hold within -
secret sipping with a grin.
In winter your painted with frost, so fair.
In summer you shine bright with glowing glare.
You glimmer in dim candle light,
bring in daybreak after dark night.
My breath upon you, painted with fingertips.
Storms lash out, sun beats, rain whips.
And still you stay, my window pane, still
Perched upon the chipped, white sill.
Stories made on both your sides
Changing like the leaves, winds, and tides.
